The Living Room Church Position Description

Title: Assistant Pastor

Overview of Our Church

The Living Room Church, once known as Midtown Alliance Church, began as a church plant in the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood. Around 2016, several house churches were formed, and The Living Room Church became a hybrid model of house church (meeting as one church on the first, third and fifth Sundays and as house churches on the second and fourth Sundays). At The Living Room, we focus on being and becoming the presence of Christ amongst people. Still based and focused in Midtown but extending into different communities and neighbourhoods.

Praxis of Mutuality in Leadership

At The Living Room, we believe and seek to practice a posture of leadership that practices mutual submissiveness. Our submission to one another recognizes our overall submission to Jesus. We recognize that each person is uniquely gifted by God for the work and formation of the church. We value your unique voice in the narrative of The Living Room Church. This praxis of mutual submission in leadership continues to be a forming DNA in how we lead and participate in God’s mission together.
